Reasoning pilot · Based on OMIB
Free matrix reasoning test with OMIB
Two guided examples and 22 OMIB matrices, at your own pace. Your correct answers out of 22 appear at the end. Free, with no account or email, for adults aged 18 or over. The result is not an IQ score, population percentile or diagnosis.
Preparing the activity…
Prepare a session you can complete
Choose a screen on which every figure is clear and a place with few interruptions. Work independently. Looking up solutions or asking for help changes what the correct-answer count describes. You can enlarge the page if needed, although this adaptation has no studies establishing equivalence across different viewing conditions.
There is no account or registration. Progress belongs to the open session: closing or reloading the tab may interrupt the activity. Do not use it if you need a certificate or an assessment for a clinical, educational or employment decision.
How to build an answer
Each matrix has three rows and an empty bottom-right cell. Look for a relationship that explains the completed rows, then use it to build the missing figure. You can select several of the 20 available elements. Selecting an element again removes it. Check the complete figure before continuing.
You begin with two explained practice examples. They are not scored, and their images do not reappear in the 22 tasks. After practice, there is no immediate answer feedback. You may skip a task if you cannot solve it. Review your responses before finishing.
What appears at the end
The page shows correct answers out of 22, answered and omitted tasks, session time and the version. An answer earns one point only when the selected combination matches the complete solution. There is no partial credit; an omission earns zero. Time does not increase or reduce the correct-answer count.
An incorrect response with selected elements counts as answered, but not correct. The two totals may therefore differ. Your result appears on this page without requiring an email or a purchase.
What you can conclude
The total describes your performance on this particular form. We do not know where it places you among all adults in your country: we have no population norms of our own in English or Spanish. We do not convert the proportion correct into an IQ or percentile.
Familiarity with the figures can affect repeated attempts. A difference between attempts does not, by itself, demonstrate a change in general ability. To learn, describe your strategy and treat practice as learning, without turning the result into a label about yourself.
