AUTHORSHIP AND EDITORIAL APPROACH
About the Coeficiente project
An open reasoning activity with visible sources, implementation choices and limitations.
Who is behind the project
Coeficiente is an educational project by Sator. We provide a visual reasoning activity and explanations that help distinguish finding patterns, counting correct answers and interpreting a measure of intelligence. The site’s name describes the subject we explore; it does not turn an activity result into an IQ score.
Sator is the organisational author of these texts and this implementation. We do not present the project as a clinic, diagnostic service or team of psychologists. We do not claim professional review of material that has not received it.
How we prepare content
Explanations and code are prepared with editorial and programming tools, including artificial intelligence assistance. That assistance is not a scientific qualification. The project is responsible for deciding what to publish.
We prioritise original research, materials from their authors and guidance from assessment organisations. We distinguish what a source documents from choices made for this website. Before using a claim about a test, we check which version, sample and administration conditions it concerns.
Our contribution and the OMIB materials
The tasks come from the Open Matrices Item Bank, developed by Marco Koch, Frank M. Spinath, Samuel Greiff and Nicolas Becker. The authors published the bank and its study in 2022. We credit them for the materials and do not describe their matrices as Sator’s creations.
The navigation, usage explanations and this adaptation are the project’s contribution. OMIB materials are distributed under GPLv3, and we retain their notices. Corresponding source materials are available so the implementation can be examined. An open licence permits inspection; it does not certify every interpretation of a result.
Results and commercial resources
The result describes correct answers on a particular 22-task form. We do not use it to diagnose, recommend a career, establish giftedness or classify a person. Research on the original bank does not automatically validate this adaptation or a new population.
Our book and game guides focus on learning and reasoning. Your score does not determine which products appear. A purchase is never required to finish the activity or see the result. Any future affiliate links or advertising must be identified; their presence will not imply that a product increases IQ.
Corrections and questions
If you find an unclear explanation or an incorrect reference, see the contact page. Identify the page, the relevant passage and, if possible, a source that can help check it. You do not need to share your score or personal information to report an editorial error.
Substantial changes should be reflected in the affected content’s date and explanation. The methodology separately describes the activity’s procedure and what still needs to be studied.
